Pragati School visits Creative clubs

On February 18, Pragati School’s principal, Satyanarayan Maharjan, Dr. Kamal Banskota, a member of the school's board of directors, and Pragati School’s teachers paid a visit to the Creative Academy clubs.

Dr. Kamal Banskota shared that they wanted to witness the club performance and learn about its concept and the boons that come with giving students such a platform. “I was very impressed by the zeal, enthusiasm, and diversity of the club. I also appreciated the fact that the clubs took creativity and interest of students into account ”, he stated. He added that there was a need for a database on whether the parents were satisfied with the club activities and if the club had improved student-student relations.

“In the present world, creativity is getting killed day by day, and giving students platforms like clubs helps them to innovate and improve. This type of education is the current world’s need and it is the real life education”, said Satyanarayan Maharjan. He also mentioned his will to invite Creative Academy to Pragati school so that he could share the progress made there. 

Pragati School has now introduced  6 different clubs which include Eco, Literature, Nepal Geography and People, Value-based, Creative thinking and Public speaking. They conducted a 3-day workshop where teachers of both schools were involved. The workshop introduced the framework and the benefits of such clubs.   

Senior Wing's Parents Day Celebrated

 Creative Academy organized its annual Parents' Day on the 9th of Febraury. The event aimed to bring parents closer to the school community, fostering a sense of unity and appreciation.

The day was filled with a variety of entertaining performances that showcased the talents of the students and brought smiles to the faces of the attending parents. Dance performances, musical acts, dramatic presentations, and even comic performances were part of the program, ensuring a diverse and enjoyable experience for everyone present.

Parents were treated to a delightful display of creativity as their children took the stage to express themselves through different forms of art. The dance performances were a spectacle of coordination and rhythm, while musical acts filled the air with harmonious tunes. Dramatic presentations conveyed meaningful messages, and comic performances added a touch of humor to the occasion.

The event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on both parents and students. It served as a reminder of the importance of family and the role that schools play in nurturing not only academic but also artistic and social development. Creative Academy's commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive community was evident in the success of this Parents' Day celebration.

On the 4th of Falgun, students from Creative Academy showcased their talent at the 15th National Children's Drama Festival organized by Shailee Theatre. 

The festival, held at the Russian Culture Centre in Kamalpokhari, featured 27 plays from various schools and competitors. Although they didn't secure any titles, the Senior Drama Club members from Creative Academy delivered an outstanding performance with their adaptation of Pandora’s Box.

 Ukti Subedi, one of the participants, expressed her joy despite facing challenges: "I had fun, while doing drama for the first time in the theater. Even though I had tonsils, I tried my best.I'm happy that I got a chance to participate and perform in this event."

Creative debaters clinched the victory of U14 debate competition

Six students from grade 8 showcased their debating skills at the 'U14 Inter-School Debate competition', hosted by Sampada School in Sanepa, Lalitpur, in collaboration with Debate Network Nepal (DNN). The event, held on February 2-3, witnessed intense intellectual battles among 14 teams hailing from different schools.

Standing out among the contenders, Creative Academy emerged victorious, clinching the desired trophy and outshining a formidable opponent, Rato Bangala.

Representing Creative Academy were two formidable teams, Team A and Team B. Team A, composed of Eva Swar, Jaya Basyal, and Prapti Sharma, while Team B comprised Sweta Kunwar, Sudhiksha Maharjan, and Aayushma Bista.

The competition kicked off with preliminary rounds, where 14 teams engaged in heated debates. Four teams, including Creative Academy Team A and Rato Bangala School Team B, qualified for the knockout stage. Jaya Basyal also got the title of the best speaker award.

As the stakes heightened, spirited debates ensued in the semifinals, culminating in a showdown between Rato Bangala School Team B and Creative Academy Team A. In the end, Creative Academy Team A emerged victorious, solidifying their reputation as formidable debaters.

The victory not only highlights Creative Academy's dedication to intellectual excellence but also underscores the vibrancy of youth engagement in critical discourse. As champions, they have set a high standard for future debates, inspiring peers and debaters alike to strive for greatness.

Creative Student's Adventure: Kathmandu to Pokhara in 4 Days

Students from Grade 9 embarked on a journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara, starting at 8 am then they relished lunch at Blue Heaven Restaurant enjoying a river view. After exploring Manakamana Temple via cable car, the group headed to Pokhara and reached their destination at 7 pm.

Day two began at 6 am, with a boat ride to Taal Barahi Temple. They then visited the Mountain Museum, Gupteshwar, and viewed the beauty of Lakeside in the evening. The day concluded with a dinner and rest. On the third day, the group explored Peace Stupa and various temples, overcoming bus troubles on the way to Charaudi. After a fun-filled evening of dancing, they had dinner and called it a night.

The fourth day marked a favorite for many, starting with a morning breakfast followed by a zip line experience. Beachside activities, motor boating, and attempts at rock climbing added excitement. After lunch at noon, they packed up and headed back to Kathmandu, concluding their adventure.

Upon being asked about the tour, Manish from grade 9 stated, ‘The trip itself was a very memorable one and I personally really enjoyed the zipline and the motorboat experience.’
